We are looking for a Junior Data Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to building data-driven solutions.
This role provides an opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment, grow your technical expertise, and gain practical experience with modern tools and technologies. You will play an essential role in supporting data engineering efforts and delivering efficient solutions to meet organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows to process large datasets
- Create and enhance SQL and NoSQL queries to facilitate data storage and retrieval
- Collaborate with team members across departments to understand data needs and implement appropriate solutions
- Participate in data integration projects to ensure seamless interaction between various systems
- Contribute to data quality improvement efforts by identifying and addressing inconsistencies in data sources
- Engage in Agile workflows to ensure timely and high-quality project deliveries
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data workflows and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, completed or in progress
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation tasks
- Experience using Databricks for managing and building data pipelines
- Strong understanding of SQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases for handling structured and unstructured data
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile practices and approaches for software development
- English proficiency at a B2+ level or higher, with strong communication skills for teamwork and documentation
Nice to have
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based data storage and processing
- Knowledge of implementing SDLC processes in data engineering workflows
