JavaScript Engineering Manager

We are looking for a JavaScript Engineering Manager to collaborate with customer stakeholders and manage offshore teams during the development and support stages of our products.

This role encompasses the creation or oversight of technical solution documents, management of engineering across various streams, and provision of on-call support.

Responsibilities
  • Develop collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders to understand their technical requirements fully
  • Supervise offshore teams to ensure proficient and effective product development and support
  • Facilitate the creation and preservation of technical solution documentation
  • Supervise engineering efforts across numerous product streams and provide staff augmentation
  • Engage in on-call support rotation to manage critical issues as they arise
  • Enhance development procedures to boost team productivity and product quality
  • Cultivate a productive and cooperative atmosphere among geographically distributed team members
  • Improve technical design procedures to augment product performance and scalability
  • Maintain consistent communication with all team members and stakeholders to align on project objectives and developments
Requirements
  • 10+ years of software development experience specializing in JavaScript
  • Background in people management, including overseeing a distributed team of 5+ engineers
  • Capability to handle customer-facing responsibilities involving technical stakeholders
  • Qualifications in offshore team collaboration
  • Proficiency in Java and AWS
  • Familiarity with micro-services architecture
  • Understanding of the product mindset within product development
  • Flexibility to modify the working hours for improved overlap with the offshore team (EET/CET)
  • Fluency in English communication at a B2+ level
