We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java / Microservices Technical Lead to oversee the design, development, and delivery of secure and scalable microservices solutions in an AWS environment.
The role involves providing technical leadership, guiding development teams, and contributing to the modernization of systems using cloud-native approaches.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Java-based microservices aligned with program goals and architecture principles
- Provide guidance and solve complex technical challenges for the development team while ensuring collaboration and excellence
- Conduct hands-on development for critical components requiring advanced Java, Spring Boot, and microservices expertise
- Approve technical designs, code contributions, and implementation strategies to maintain high standards and best practices
- Collaborate with architects to design scalable and secure microservices with resilient API strategies for inter-service communication
- Define data strategies for distributed systems, including storage solutions like RDS, DynamoDB, and caching mechanisms like Redis
- Identify and address technical gaps in legacy systems, proposing strategies to modernize and decompose monolithic applications
- Mentor developers on microservice design principles, cloud-native development, and Agile practices while fostering growth within the team
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery of prioritized technical initiatives
- Integrate Agile development practices, ensuring timely delivery of features while balancing technical debt resolution
- Build APIs (RESTful or GraphQL) with strong security measures, comprehensive documentation, and versioning controls
- Establish efficient CI/CD processes and containerized deployment pipelines using tools like Kubernetes and Docker
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional Java development experience, including Spring Boot and microservices architectures
- Proven expertise in building cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, or RDS
- Competency in designing and managing REST/GraphQL APIs and implementing distributed systems with high availability
- Background in data architecture, including database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and caching solutions like Redis or Memcached
- Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Demonstrated leadership experience, mentoring team members and driving technical excellence within Agile settings
- Fluent English communication skills at a C1 level
