We are seeking a Java Cloud Development Team Lead to guide our teams in the design and execution of cloud-based solutions for our flagship products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and cloud services, primarily focusing on migrating our on-premise Win32/64 application to the Oracle Cloud platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers in creating and maintaining Java applications
- Oversee the migration of existing on-premise applications to Oracle Cloud
- Design and implement secure RESTful services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Java components with JavaScript/React UI
- Implement and maintain WS-Security standards in all relevant applications
- Manage and optimize Oracle databases for cloud environments
- Contribute code to ongoing Ruby on Rails projects as necessary
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards
- Mentor junior developers in Java, cloud technologies, and database management
- Assess and implement improvements in application performance and security
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java 8, Oracle Database Service and REST API
- Expertise in developing applications using Spring framework
- Background in working with WS-Security
- Qualifications in managing Oracle databases
- Capability to adapt quickly to new cloud environments including AWS, Azure or GCP
- Understanding of common data backup and recovery methods
- More than 5 years of experience in Java development
- Experience in leading development teams
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of data processing concepts
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
- Skills in XSLT
