Java Cloud Development Team Lead

Java, Java 8, Oracle Database Service, REST API, Spring, WS-Security, Data Processing Concepts, Medical Records Management, XSLT

We are seeking a Java Cloud Development Team Lead to guide our teams in the design and execution of cloud-based solutions for our flagship products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and cloud services, primarily focusing on migrating our on-premise Win32/64 application to the Oracle Cloud platform.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of developers in creating and maintaining Java applications
  • Oversee the migration of existing on-premise applications to Oracle Cloud
  • Design and implement secure RESTful services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Java components with JavaScript/React UI
  • Implement and maintain WS-Security standards in all relevant applications
  • Manage and optimize Oracle databases for cloud environments
  • Contribute code to ongoing Ruby on Rails projects as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards
  • Mentor junior developers in Java, cloud technologies, and database management
  • Assess and implement improvements in application performance and security
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Java 8, Oracle Database Service and REST API
  • Expertise in developing applications using Spring framework
  • Background in working with WS-Security
  • Qualifications in managing Oracle databases
  • Capability to adapt quickly to new cloud environments including AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Understanding of common data backup and recovery methods
  • More than 5 years of experience in Java development
  • Experience in leading development teams
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of data processing concepts
  • Familiarity with medical records management systems
  • Skills in XSLT
