Experience Design Consultant

As an Experience Design Consultant at EPAM’s LATAM Design Studio, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering sophisticated digital experiences for enterprise clients, emphasizing solutions powered by artificial intelligence.

You will collaborate with diverse teams to create user-centered, inventive, and measurable outcomes that leverage the latest trends in design and AI. This position gives you the chance to influence the evolution of digital products and make a significant impact for global organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Guide or participate in the design of digital products and services, integrating AI features like chatbots, recommendation engines, and personalization
  • Perform UX heuristic evaluations, audit design systems, and analyze competitors, including those with AI-driven interfaces
  • Map out user journeys and service ecosystems, pinpointing opportunities for AI enhancements
  • Develop and showcase high-fidelity prototypes using leading design tools and AI-augmented platforms
  • Work in partnership with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to define, test, and improve AI-based user experiences
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative research techniques to support and validate design choices, including the impact of AI components
  • Present design concepts to clients, handle feedback, and facilitate agreement among stakeholders
  • Mentor junior designers and help advance the LATAM Design Studio’s capabilities in AI and experience design
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in experience design, UX, or related disciplines, including substantial work on AI-enabled products or features
  • Minimum 2 years in leadership, management, ownership, architect, or coordinator positions
  • At least 1 year leading teams of five or more individuals
  • Participation in at least two complete project cycles or several projects spanning different development stages
  • Advanced skills in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, or similar tools, with experience using AI design plugins such as Figma AI or Uizard
  • Experience with journey mapping and ecosystem visualization tools like Miro or Lucidchart, including mapping AI interactions
  • Familiarity with analytics and AI analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
  • Strong command of UX research methods, including usability testing, heuristic analysis, and evaluation of AI-driven features
  • Portfolio with at least two or three case studies showing high-fidelity prototyping, journey mapping, and strategic design for enterprise or large-scale digital products, including at least one AI-focused project
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including data science and engineering
  • Enthusiasm for the intersection of design and AI, with a desire to shape future digital experiences
  • Strategic thinking that connects business objectives, user needs, and emerging technologies
  • Confident in leading projects, presenting to clients, and championing user-centered, data-driven design
  • Willingness to learn new tools, methods, and AI innovations, with a proactive and flexible attitude
  • Enjoys mentoring and collaborating, sharing expertise, and strengthening team skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written, at B2 level or higher
