Experience Design Consultant

As an Experience Design Consultant at EPAM’s LATAM Design Studio, you will lead the creation and delivery of advanced digital experiences for enterprise clients, with a focus on AI-powered solutions.

You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to craft user-focused, innovative, and measurable experiences that harness the latest advancements in design and artificial intelligence. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of digital products and drive meaningful impact for global organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead or support the design of digital products and services, incorporating AI-driven features such as chatbots, recommendation systems, and personalization
  • Conduct UX heuristic reviews, design system assessments, and competitive analysis, including for AI-enabled interfaces
  • Map user journeys and service ecosystems, identifying areas where AI can enhance the experience
  • Create and present high-fidelity prototypes using industry-standard and AI-augmented design tools
  • Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to define, test, and refine AI-powered user experiences
  • Use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to inform and validate design decisions, including the evaluation of AI features
  • Present design solutions to clients, manage feedback, and build consensus among stakeholders
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the LATAM Design Studio’s expertise in AI and experience design
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in experience design, UX, or related fields, including significant work on AI-powered products or features
  • Minimum 2 years in leadership, management, ownership, architect, or coordinator roles
  • At least 1 year of experience leading teams of five or more people
  • Participation in at least two full-cycle projects or several projects covering different phases of the development lifecycle
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, or similar tools, with experience using AI design plugins such as Figma AI or Uizard
  • Experience with journey mapping and ecosystem visualization tools like Miro or Lucidchart, including mapping AI touchpoints
  • Familiarity with analytics and AI analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
  • Strong knowledge of UX research methods, including usability testing, heuristic evaluation, and assessment of AI-driven features
  • Portfolio featuring at least two to three case studies that demonstrate high-fidelity prototyping, journey mapping, and strategic design for enterprise or large-scale digital products, including at least one AI-powered project
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data science and engineering
  • Passion for the intersection of design and AI, with a drive to shape the future of digital experiences
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect business goals, user needs, and emerging technologies
  • Comfortable leading projects, presenting to clients, and advocating for user-centered, data-driven design
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, methods, and AI advancements, with a proactive and adaptable approach
  • Enjoys mentoring and collaborating, sharing knowledge, and elevating team capabilities
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
  • Experience with additional AI design tools or platforms
  • Familiarity with service design methodologies
  • Background in enterprise-level digital transformation projects
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards in AI-driven interfaces
  • Experience working with international or distributed teams
