We are hiring a Data Science Consultant to provide visionary leadership in machine learning and AI, directing design and implementation of advanced solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of ML and AI technical strategies for client projects
- Create responsible AI systems and metrics that support client objectives
- Promote AI integration by coordinating across organizational departments
- Work closely with clients to understand their challenges and demonstrate ML/AI benefits
- Manage and mentor data science and engineering teams as both leader and collaborator
- Stay updated on ML/AI innovations and suggest new approaches mindful of regulatory issues
- Act as intermediary among business, legal, and technology groups within EPAM and client sides
- Outline ML solution scopes, manage pricing, and oversee project transitions from sales to delivery
- Cultivate client relationships through clear communication and effective project management
- Engage senior executives and C-level stakeholders to champion enterprise AI adoption
- Assist sales teams with data opportunity assessments, RFP responses, and proposal development
Requirements
- At least 12 years of leadership experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI
- Demonstrated success in building and implementing ML/AI solutions
- In-depth understanding of machine learning concepts including deep learning, statistics, human-computer interaction, CNN/RNN, transformer models, LLMs (RAG), and ML privacy/security
- Proven leadership of geographically distributed, multidisciplinary AI teams
- Ability to persuade senior stakeholders to fund or purchase ML/AI projects
- Effective in explaining complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Knowledge of SQL and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with regulated industries or related compliance functions
- Strong analytical skills to convert complex business needs into ML/AI applications
