We are searching for a Data Science Consultant to lead the formulation and execution of sophisticated ML and AI solutions for diverse clients.
This role aligns AI innovation with business strategy to drive tangible results and promote widespread AI adoption. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and senior leaders to deliver transformative AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Direct technical strategy and leadership in ML and AI for client projects
- Design and implement responsible AI frameworks and performance metrics consistent with client goals
- Facilitate organizational AI adoption and ideate new AI-driven products and differentiators
- Engage clients to grasp their challenges and articulate ML/AI value propositions
- Lead and mentor data science and engineering teams collaboratively
- Keep abreast of ML/AI advances and recommend innovative, regulation-aware solutions
- Serve as liaison among business, legal, and technology stakeholders within EPAM and clients
- Scope ML engagements, manage pricing, and oversee transitions from sales to delivery
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and issue resolution
- Collaborate with executive and C-level stakeholders to promote enterprise AI adoption
- Support sales and pre-sales activities by evaluating data opportunities, responding to RFPs, and drafting proposals
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of leadership experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI
- Track record of designing and deploying ML/AI solutions
- Comprehensive understanding of machine learning including deep learning, statistics, HCI, CNN/RNN, transformer models, LLMs (RAG), and privacy/security principles
- Experienced in managing geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary AI teams
- Skillful in influencing senior stakeholders to secure funding or approve AI projects
- Ability to explain complex technical content to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficient in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Knowledgeable in SQL and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with regulated industries or technology-related regulatory functions
- Strong analytical abilities to translate business needs into ML/AI solutions
