Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of solution delivery for specified accounts as the accountable lead
- Maintain governance of delivery and production activities based on the selected delivery approach
- Manage resource allocation to match required skills and seniority with delivery plans
- Drive technical leadership by planning sustainable architectures and ensuring quality
- Facilitate teamwork among different disciplines and stakeholders
- Establish and grow long-term client relationships
- Handle client issues and mitigate engagement risks
- Lead preparation of customer proposals and statements of work
- Ensure projects adhere to EPAM’s methodologies with focus on agile
- Ensure client responsibilities are met within engagements
- Develop delivery schedules including time, quality, and resource estimates
- Apply continuous risk management strategies to support decision-making
- Track and improve delivery productivity
- Support sales bids by providing technical and managerial input
- Coach and mentor delivery managers
- Engage with the EPAM delivery management community
Requirements
- Proven experience (10+ years) in delivering Data and Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehousing, and BI projects with relevant technological expertise
- Strong understanding of data engineering challenges and data platform engineering including batch and streaming
- Hands-on knowledge of Big Data technology stacks such as Hadoop, Yarn, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Kafka
- Background in Python, Scala, or Java programming, including data mining, predictive analytics, and machine learning
- Experience with SQL, building and maintaining Big Data solutions, and cloud data technologies
- Knowledge of data architecture and software delivery cycles
- Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools
- Understanding of classical analytics methods and theories
- Experience with various delivery methodologies, especially agile
- Awareness of data security challenges
- Experience with leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing on-prem to cloud migrations
- Strong presentation skills for different audience sizes
- Capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent client management skills and C1-level English communication
