We are looking for a Data Architect to strengthen our online retail client's team by optimizing their data frameworks and processes.
In this position, you will strategically assess and refine the existing data model in MicroStrategy, tackling challenges and implementing upgrades to improve data engineering workflows. Your skills will play a key role in addressing technical debt and supporting a streamlined data management infrastructure. You will work within a cutting-edge technology environment featuring Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and SQL, contributing to the broader data initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review the current data model in MicroStrategy to pinpoint inefficiencies
- Resolve technical debt affecting the data model and pipelines
- Implement solutions to improve data engineering workflows
- Optimize data storage and access processes with the team
- Design and sustain reliable data models supporting business intelligence needs
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy across diverse platforms
- Apply SQL and custom scripts for processing tasks
- Utilize data lake storage in Amazon S3 alongside serving layers in Amazon Redshift
- Operate data workflows through Apache Airflow
- Deliver expert recommendations on MicroStrategy practices
Requirements
- At least 8 years' experience in data modeling and architecture
- Knowledge of MicroStrategy Business Intelligence
- Background in Data Modeling Fundamentals
- Skills in SQL and data processing
- Familiarity with Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, and Amazon Web Services
- Expertise in managing and optimizing data pipelines
- Understanding of technical debt challenges
- Flexibility to meet dynamic project requirements
- Advanced proficiency in English (C1)
Nice to have
- Qualifications in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
- Background in handling online retail data systems
- Competency in managing data governance and compliance standards
