We are seeking a seasoned Chief SAP Consultant with deep expertise in Finance (FI) and integration knowledge of Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting (AA), and Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR) to support an SAP S/4HANA Brownfield Transformation project.
In this critical role, you will act as the subject matter expert for financial processes and reporting, working closely with business and technical teams to design, configure, and implement solutions that enable the seamless adoption of S/4HANA functionalities within Finance and Controlling operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) workflows
- Assess current SAP ECC financial processes and identify optimization opportunities with S/4HANA capabilities
- Perform gap analyses to address discrepancies between existing workflows and future business needs
- Design and implement SAP FI/CO solutions aligned with business objectives and compliance standards
- Optimize key processes such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cost Center Accounting using S/4HANA features
- Ensure solutions adhere to financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks
- Configure SAP FI modules, including GL, AP/AR, Taxation/Subledger, and Asset Accounting (AA)
- Set up integrations between SAP FI and CO for profitability analysis, costing, and financial reporting
- Ensure seamless compatibility with related modules such as MM, SD, and PP for end-to-end business processes
- Develop and execute test cases for financial workflows and system integrations to validate functionality
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure alignment with business operations and requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure readiness for production deployment
- Create training resources and conduct workshops to educate business users on updated financial processes and system functionalities
- Provide ongoing post-go-live support to ensure smooth adoption of the S/4HANA system
- Document system configurations, workflows, and test results for future reference and audits
- Deliver project updates, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to stakeholders
- Build financial reports and dashboards using S/4HANA tools such as Embedded Analytics
- Facilitate the activation of S/4HANA financial tools as part of a Brownfield migration strategy
- Partner with technical teams to ensure the accurate migration of ECC configurations and master data into S/4HANA
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience working with SAP FI modules, including GL, AP, AR, Taxation, and Asset Accounting (AA)
- At least 2 years of experience leading and managing development teams
- Involvement in at least 2 full-cycle SAP project implementations or multiple projects covering various development lifecycle phases
- Hands-on expertise in integrating SAP FI with SAP CO for profitability analysis and financial reporting
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA functionalities and processes
- Practical experience with Brownfield transformation projects and tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, at a B2+ level or higher
