Join our Tech Data Services Oracle team as a Chief Database Administrator.

You will be responsible for the implementation and support of Oracle databases, ensuring their availability and performance. You will also contribute to the development of new features across our supported platforms. If you're ready to make an impact, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Oracle database availability and response time by leading problem diagnosis and resolution in a high availability multi-datacenter environment
  • Monitor performance and availability issues to maintain smooth database operations
  • Provide timely and effective problem resolution during regular work hours
  • Configure and install business-critical databases based on requirements from application development teams and business users
  • Maintain compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Offer DBA support for complex software installation and maintenance, including major upgrades
  • Protect the integrity, security, and privacy of critical business data
  • Support data replication, backup, and availability solutions
  • Participate in the development and configuration of new features for supported platforms
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience as an enterprise Oracle DBA
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle 19C on VMware and Exadata
  • Background in Oracle Real Application Clusters
  • Skills in Linux, current Oracle Database releases, PL/SQL, and Oracle ASM
  • Familiarity with database tools such as SQL Developer, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Toad, and Foglight
  • Expertise in physical and logical replication methods, including disk-level replication and Oracle Data Guard
  • Skills in database and SQL tuning and database patching
  • Understanding of MongoDB and SQL, with flexibility to learn more
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of Azure SQL Managed Instance
  • Familiarity with Qlik and Kafka
  • Background in Informatica, Databricks, or Starburst
