We are seeking a Chief Cloud Automation and API Research Specialist.

In this role, you will contribute to developing a cloud security posture management solution. You will play a vital role in researching service specifications, validating APIs, and crafting automated workflows for data collection and verification. Responsibilities
  • Perform research on cloud service scopes and API specifications for AWS, Azure, and other providers
  • Determine critical API endpoints and parameters related to cloud security posture management
  • Assess cloud security services, settings, and potential risks to establish precise testing scopes
  • Design Python scripts to automate API communication and service validations
  • Develop and manage Terraform configurations to emulate cloud environments and automate testing resource provisioning
  • Prepare YAML and JSON files to enhance the scraper’s accuracy and repeatability during API data collection
  • Validate REST API endpoints to ensure functionality, address errors, and discover misconfigurations
  • Introduce workflows to verify infrastructure consistency and identify variances across cloud setups
  • Define a testing framework aligned with business requirements and cloud security standards
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Document functions, API processes, Terraform configurations, and automated workflows systematically
  • Deliver regular updates on automation efficiency, test coverage, and opportunities for improvements
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services, including Identity and Access Management, Virtual Private Cloud, Elastic Compute Cloud, Lambda, Simple Storage Service, and APIs
  • Background in cloud security and advanced security expertise
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and APIs, including Azure Resource Manager and Azure Security Center
  • Familiarity with APIs from providers such as Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Alibaba Cloud, or Kubernetes
  • Skills in Python for creating scripts, automating APIs, and processing data
  • Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code to manage cloud resources deployment
  • Understanding of REST API protocols as well as JSON and YAML formats, complemented by tools such as Postman and Swagger
  • Competency in cloud security concepts, including access configurations, resource isolation, and exposure risks
  • Ability to pinpoint misconfigurations such as publicly accessible resources or flawed load balancers
  • Proficiency in English
