Business Analyst

Remote in Greece: Attica, Athens

We are seeking a motivated Business Analyst to join our team and support the delivery of a Risk & Trading transformation initiative in the Gas & Oil sector.

This role is ideal for individuals with a keen interest in business analysis and Agile practices, who are eager to work alongside technical and business teams to deliver value-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business requirements
  • Engage in capturing requirements for P&L setup, inventory, pricing, risk positions, and reporting
  • Document processes and system interactions, focusing on components such as price interfaces, inventory balances, trades, positions, and MtM reporting
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Assist in managing product backlogs, refining user stories, and defining acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to risk management efforts by identifying and monitoring potential issues under the guidance of specialists
  • Support process improvements and work with domain experts to gain knowledge of industry practices
  • Ensure deliverables align with business objectives, quality benchmarks, and compliance requirements
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role or related field within Agile delivery environments
  • Knowledge of business analysis techniques including requirements gathering, process mapping, and user story creation
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
  • Understanding of trading concepts including positions, exposure, MtM, and risk reporting or the ability to learn quickly
  • Exposure to financial, energy, or commodity trading systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across technical and business teams
  • Proficiency in English (B2 or higher); knowledge of Greek is advantageous
