We are looking for a committed Automation Tester with expertise in Python to enhance our development team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in assuring the quality and performance of our software solutions through comprehensive automated testing. This role is perfect for someone who is meticulous, passionate about software reliability, and adept at utilizing advanced testing methods.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and execute automated tests using Python
- Detect, document, and thoroughly explain bugs found during testing
- Work closely with the development team to address any testing challenges
- Update and expand the automation framework to meet future testing needs
- Analyze test results, report findings, and suggest improvements
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in testing and automation technologies
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers on automation best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Automation Testing with a focus on Python
- Skilled in using testing frameworks like Pytest and unittest to develop and manage automated test suites
- Proficient in SQL for effective database querying
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and capable of working in a dynamic, cross-functional team setting
- Experienced in utilizing Jira or similar tools for Agile project management and issue tracking
- Comprehensive understanding of defect management processes to effectively identify, track, and resolve issues
- Adept at scripting detailed test cases and preparing extensive test reports
- Strong communication skills, able to effectively articulate complex information
- Proficient in English, with a B2 level of proficiency or above
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure data processing solutions
- Knowledge of JMeter and performance testing methods
- Understanding of Big Data concepts and their impact on testing
- Experience in testing ETL pipelines to ensure data integrity and processing reliability
- Experience in testing data migration projects to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Familiarity with using Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing the software development lifecycle
