Automation Tester in Java

We are seeking an Automation Tester with a solid background in Java, focusing on UI and API Automation.
In this position, you will apply your proficiency in automation best practices to uphold the quality and reliability of our software products. You will take responsibility for creating and maintaining automated test scripts, integrating them into our CI/CD pipeline, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve testing frameworks. Your expertise in both functional and API testing will play a critical role in advancing our Wealth Management projects.
Responsibilities
- Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
- Automate test cases to support regression testing, functional testing, and smoke testing
- Plan automation tasks and ensure testing standards are enforced within the team
- Integrate test cycles into the DevOps pipeline
- Identify and resolve system issues creatively and efficiently
- Conduct automation testing for back-end services, including REST APIs
- Document and track defects
- Maintain test data and oversee test environments
- Ensure proper version management of test scripts
- Contribute to mainframe automation efforts
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including a minimum of 2 years in test automation development or a blend of development and testing experience
- Proficiency in REST and SOAP API testing automation using REST Assured
- Competency in creating and maintaining automation scripts to align with acceptance criteria
- Familiarity with agile methodology
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing
- Skills in writing unit tests to ensure robustness, including coverage for edge cases and usability
- Knowledge of manual testing practices
- Competency in integrating test suites with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools
- Qualifications in using Cucumber
- Background in regression testing methodologies
- Experience with mainframe automation mechanisms
