Automation Tester in Java
We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester in Java to join our team and strengthen our testing processes for a prominent Wealth Management client.
You will play a vital role in elevating the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing. Collaborating closely with the development team, you will design and execute effective test strategies for both back-end services and front-end applications. Your expertise will contribute to building a robust automation framework and enhancing testing workflows in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
- Automate regression testing, functional testing, and smoke testing
- Plan automation tasks in alignment with testing standards
- Troubleshoot system issues with creativity and precision
- Automate testing processes for back-end services and front-end applications
- Document and report defects clearly
- Manage test data and test environment configurations
- Handle test script version controls
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 2+ years in test automation development or a mix of development and testing experience
- Knowledge of REST testing and Selenium or equivalent tools
- Competency in creating and maintaining automation scripts for acceptance criteria
- Understanding of agile methodology and CI/CD pipeline integrations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with manual testing
Nice to have
- Understanding of Cucumber
- Proficiency in Java
- Background in Jira and SQL
- Qualifications in qTest
