Automation Tester in Java

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester specializing in Java to join our team and enhance our testing processes for a leading Wealth Management client.

You will play a pivotal role in assuring the quality and reliability of software products through automated testing. Collaborating closely with the development team, you will develop effective test strategies encompassing back-end services and front-end applications. Using your expertise, you will contribute to building a robust automation framework and optimizing testing processes within an agile workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
  • Automate regression testing, functional testing, and smoke testing processes
  • Plan automation tasks while adhering to established testing standards
  • Troubleshoot system-related issues in innovative and efficient ways
  • Implement automation for both back-end services and front-end interfaces
  • Document and communicate defects effectively to relevant teams
  • Coordinate test data and manage testing environments
  • Oversee version management for test scripts
Requirements
  • 3+ years in Quality Assurance, including at least 2+ years in test automation development or a combination of development and testing
  • Familiarity with REST testing and tools such as Selenium or other equivalents
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining automation scripts aligned with acceptance criteria
  • Background in agile methodology with experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong analytical abilities with organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and documentation capabilities
  • Understanding of manual testing at a competent level
Nice to have
  • Understanding of Cucumber
  • Expertise in Java
  • Familiarity with Jira and SQL
  • Proficiency in qTest
