Automation Tester in Java

Automated Testing in Java, QE/Testing, REST Assured, Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Jira, SQL, qTest

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester in Java to enhance our testing processes for a distinguished Wealth Management client.

You will play an essential role in improving the quality and dependability of our software products through automated testing. In collaboration with the development team, you will design and implement effective test strategies for both back-end services and front-end applications. Your knowledge will contribute to building a reliable automation framework and streamlining our testing workflows in an agile setting.

Responsibilities
  • Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
  • Automate test cases for regression testing, functional testing, and smoke testing
  • Plan automation tasks while maintaining adherence to testing standards
  • Identify and resolve system issues in a creative and effective way
  • Automate tests for both back-end services and front-end applications
  • Document and communicate defects clearly
  • Maintain test data and manage test environments
  • Handle version management for test scripts
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 2 years in test automation development or a combination of development and testing experience
  • Background in REST testing and Selenium or similar tools
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining automation scripts for acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with agile methodology and CI/CD pipeline integration with test suites
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
  • Competency in communication and documentation
  • Understanding of manual testing at a proficient level
Nice to have
  • Understanding of Cucumber
  • Skills in Java
  • Familiarity with Jira and SQL
  • Knowledge of qTest
