As an Application Support Specialist, you will be integral to our Application Production Support team, handling IT production support for AS/400 activities. You will be responsible for managing incidents, service requests, and infrastructure maintenance, ensuring that all production deliverables align with our bank's standards and best practices. Please note that this position requires office work in Lisbon 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 support for application, system, and batch related issues in AS/400 environments
- Monitor production batches and infrastructure components
- Resolve batch related issues promptly
- Escalate risks and management issues to the Head of APS
- Adhere to service level objectives and roadmap
- Review and create application support knowledge articles
- Ensure compliance with bank standards and best practices
- Identify opportunities for automation to enhance system availability and performance
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT experience in infrastructure and application support
- 3+ years of support experience with AS/400 technologies
- Strong knowledge of SQL queries and data analysis
- Experience with production support tools such as ServiceNow and JIRA
- Proficiency in core banking applications like Olympic or Transact
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Experience with ITIL practices
- Familiarity with AS/400 subsystems and job scheduling systems
- Basic understanding of BRMS
- Experience in AS/400 RPGLE and COBOL/400 development
- Good knowledge of CL/400 and OS/400 commands
