Accessibility Consultant

EPAM is on the lookout for a proficient Accessibility Consultant to enhance our accessibility offerings. The successful candidate will champion digital accessibility projects for our clientele, ensuring broad inclusivity and superior user experiences for all.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead consultative sales initiatives and craft proposals
  • Execute compelling presentations tailored to our accessibility consulting capabilities
  • Conduct client workshops, steer conversations with stakeholders, and manage project-related activities
  • Formulate and execute a robust accessibility strategy for clients
  • Develop and oversee a staffing plan to meet accessibility goals
  • Promote accessibility across various organizational levels, including with executive leadership
  • Direct training programs focused on accessibility for product teams
  • Keep abreast of the latest in accessibility regulations, guidelines, and industry trends
  • Work in tandem with product managers, designers, and developers to embed accessibility best practices
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for accessibility and provide updates on progress
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years in digital accessibility
  • At least 3 years in leadership positions
  • Demonstrated success in deploying and managing accessibility services and initiatives
  • Skilled in partnering with clients and aiding in their organizational success
  • Confident in interacting with top-tier client executives and offering strategic advice
  • Experienced in managing projects effectively from planning through to successful completion
  • Comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, ARIA) and compliance requirements (e.g., ADA, Section 508)
  • Well-versed in assistive technologies like screen readers and voice recognition software
  • Proven ability to lead the strategic planning and execution for accessibility roadmaps
  • Capable of engaging in discussions related to technology and product strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work seamlessly with diverse teams
  • Client-oriented, inventive, and able to work autonomously under tight deadlines
  • Strong command of English with excellent communication proficiency

  • Experience in conducting accessibility audits
  • Experience in performing usability testing
  • Ability to provide comprehensive, constructive feedback to development, QA, and design teams to improve product accessibility
